This season we're adding UK brand Garbstore to our lineup of brands. Created in 2007 by former One True Saxon founder Ian Paley, Garbstore is based on Ian's passion for deadstock vintage clothing. The philosophy of the Garbstore label is richly ensconced in the history of clothing produced after the Second World War and draws influence from what can be coined "Unfamiliar Vintage", familiar garments that reference the past but with a modern edge.

DIANA ORVING AW10 COLLECTION "LIGHT"
The DIANA ORVING Autumn/Winter 2010 collection is continuous with the previous distinctive design that is characteristic for the brand. The inspiration can clearly be recognised from dance, movements and art. For this collection an execution of light and dark, and the shades in between has played an essential part.

Diana Orving made the pattern for this collection in collaboration with graphic designer Johan Hjerpe. They have used different sources of light, shadows and darkness as a main inspiration. Candles are light, electric bulbs and lamps are turned on which make the light, shades and darkness play together in a changeable way.

NEW SPRING ARRIVALS: PETER JENSEN
For his S/S 10 collection Peter Jensen has collaborated with New York-based art photographer Laurie Simmons. The collection was inspired by a monograph of the artist's work. Peter Jensen made scaled-down versions of his spring lineup and sent them to Simmons, who photographed them in the surreal dollhouse environments she's known for. These images were then blown back up to life size, and the whole thing was installed at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, where live models walked in the clothes in front of Simmons' pictures.

NEW SPRING ARRIVALS: MINIMARKET
The S/S 10 collection from Minimarket is an aquarium, built in a typical Minimarket manner: colourful, cartoonlike and personal in it’s shape. The mantaray and the sting ray are strong influences, whose spirits you can see in several dresses and coats in the collection. Algue-like allover pleats are found on skirts and dresses and the shell shape - also made out of pleated fabric are placed on hips and shoulders, accentuating the female hourglass shape. Other pieces where the theme is even more obvious are the intarsia knitted sweater shark a dream in mint with a shark gap wide open and the ballerina clam with theire uneven opening mimicing a clam. Once again Minimarket delivers a coulorful collection. This time the range goes in apricot, mint and coral. Minimarket’s strong ability to work with shapes, details and colour is what, in our opinion makes them stand out from other swedish labels.

INTRODUCING: MINI FOR MANY
This season we’re introducing Mini For Many which is Swedish clothing label Minimarket's diffusion line. The diffision line draws inspiration from the mainline but uses simpler fabrics and is more accessibly priced. Now, in it’s second season, the theme for SS10 is ”sting ray” and the design is based on dots made in watercolour in combination with stripes in apricot / coral. Details like zippers instead of buttons are borrowed from the Minimarket line, but in a more simple shape. The Mini For Many collection also includes accessories - we love the black and white striped platform shoes. Even though they have a heel of 12 cm they are still very comfortable to wear.

INTRODUCING: UNIVERSAL WORKS
Universal Works is a new label headed by David Keyte, a man who’s curriculum vitae includes the likes of Paul Smith, Maharishi, Margaret Howell and Albam. After 20 years in the industry David realised he was “less interested in fashion and more in the function, fit and cut of garments.” Exploring this idea further, he decided to set up a label of his own focused on producing well made, well considered, easy to wear and affordable menswear. Each product is made by small, highly skilled factories – many of which are located in the UK. We are very proud to be the first store in Scandinavia to stock this new exciting brand.
